Hands Down: Bringing Childhood Imagination to Life in Virtual World

Project Details

“Hands Down” delves into the transformative process of turning participants’ handprints into interactive 3D creatures in a virtual space. Participants are invited to actively participate, capturing their hand movements and creatively transforming them into distinct virtual entities. These entities, mirroring the artistic expression of the participants, come to life in a virtual realm, accessible via projected screen or VR headsets. This experience culminates in the immersive exploration of a virtual world, where users can interact with their sculpted creatures. This installation presents a unique approach to experiencing proprioception, prompting participants to re-envision their physical selves and their interaction with the digital creations in an immersive environment.
