Augmented Expression

Project Details

Augmented Expression is an immersive virtual reality environment that invites participants to get immersed in and provides expressive tools to create a new 3D world. A participant with a conventional VR head mounted device and controllers moves around a room scale setup and generates a dynamic visuals and sounds by moving the body. A symbiotic relationship is created between the participant’s motion and the generated objects. Exploration and Creation modes in Augmented Expression provides different temporal-spatial interactions. Augmented Expression is utilized as a single person experience as well as a theater performance projecting different views on a theater scrim.
