Project Details
The pelvic limb model is based on the skeletal structure of a canine pelvic limb. Bones in the pelvic limb were cast using Alumilite Super Plastic Casting resin. Material choice for the pelvic kinetic model was based on construction of a previous thoracic limb kinetic model as well as experimentation. Components such as structural support, muscle function simulation, simulated muscle structure, and simulated skeletal structure all had to be considered during model construction.
